2025 has been a fantastic year so far for Starboard Card, with continued partnerships like Northrop & Johnson and ongoing support for the incredible work of Superyacht Charities as an annual sponsor.
We kicked off the year strong with a series of exciting events. In March, we were after-party sponsors at the Superyacht Charities Ball and danced the night away at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton. Then we headed across the Atlantic for the Palm Beach International Boat Show as guests of Northrop & Johnson, where we caught up with friends and met plenty of new faces. March wrapped up with the British Superyacht Soiree in London, where we enjoyed an evening of drinks, networking, and great conversation.
April brought the return of the Palma International Boat Show, kicking off the Mediterranean season in style. While we were there, we attended the renowned Superyacht Charities Seafarers Supper, a highlight in the show calendar that brings the industry together to raise funds for some fantastic causes.
We returned to Palma in May to host an intimate event in collaboration with Roaring Events, which consisted of a relaxed day of golf and good company in the Mallorcan sunshine.
Alongside our golfing activities, we were invited to Anchord’s exclusive launch event at Langan’s Brasserie in Mayfair. The afternoon was filled with cocktails, canapés, and a spectacular surprise flash mob in Piccadilly Circus, a unique twist to the celebration of Anchord’s debut.
Fast forward to July, and we spent a wonderful evening at the British Superyacht event, hosted at MDL’s Ocean Village Marina in Southampton. We enjoyed the beautiful summer weather, drinks, and great conversation overlooking the water.
We also partnered with IGY Marinas to host an exclusive vineyard tour at Surrau Vineyards in Sardinia for their captains and crew. The experience included a tasting menu with paired wines, excellent company, and stunning scenery.
Among the highlights of the month was an invitation from SeaKeepers to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. We were thrilled to visit their stand in the Future Lab and learn more about the vital work they’re doing in ocean conservation. It was a fascinating glimpse into how technology and environmental stewardship can come together to protect our seas.
We also had the chance to hear from astronaut Tim Peake, FOS Future Lab Ambassador, whose perspective brought an added dimension to the day. With a full racing schedule and an atmosphere full of energy, it was an unforgettable experience all round.
Not long after, we swapped superyachts for paddles, dressed in pirate attire, as a supporting sponsor of Naomi House & Jacksplace’s Dragon Boat Race along the Itchen Navigation. Naomi House & Jacksplace provides specialist care, vital respite, and unwavering support for life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults, and their families. It was a fantastic day all round, and we were proud to come away with a 3rd place finish.
There was also time to get stuck in at Deacons Marina in Southampton, joining a beach clean organised by The International SeaKeepers Society and Pantaenius. Buckets, gloves, and plenty of good energy made for a satisfying day helping to keep our coastlines clean and our waters looking their best. Sophia, our Chief Personnel Officer, took home the prize for the most unusual find, a car grille, and secured third place for the most rubbish collected!
We’re excited to see what the rest of 2025 has in store as the year continues to unfold.
